I am so very excited to hear that your are back. For some inspiration that we all need to hear every once in awhile, I found your site a few months back and love your style and it meshes perfectly with my vision of my room. I am going to start my 1st year of teaching in a few short weeks. I look forward to more of your great resources and appreciate very much you taking the time above and beyond teaching to share with others like me. I love your math journals and can't wait to see more. YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!!!!

I have loved your blog and am so happy to see that you are back. Can't wait for your math and science updates. These new sight word books are incredible too. I teach in Austin. I've e-mailed you before, anyway so glad you haven't lost your spark.

Found your blog today! Teaching is very challenging! You are so right to slow down and enjoy the journey. Your honesty is refreshing.

I am glad you're back! I loved your patterns lessons and used them with my kids last year! I can't wait to see what you post next!

I was so happy to find your blog last summer and my team used a bunch of your ideas! You are having a big impact, even if you are not aware of it. Kindergarten is exhausting and exciting and hard, hard work.

But we do get to use glitter!

Kristin

I'm so glad you're back! I found you last summer, and your blog was a source of inspiration and truly sparked my creativity! It was because of your blog that I started math journals with my kinders last year. May your spark be rekindled, and here's to an amazing school year!

I am soo happy to see that you are back!!! I started following your blog at the beginning of last year as a new kindergarten teacher coming from 3rd grade. I found your blog so inspiring and it really truly helped me feel confident in starting the year, especially with the math notebook. {love it} Welcome back and hope you have a fabulous year!

Amy

Welcome back!! I was worried for you -- I know burnout is a tough thing. Thank you for sticking with 'it' and coming back -- even if you have to vent!
I've been a K teacher for 13 of my 24 years of teaching and I find you inspiring!

Laurie

I am so glad to be reading your blog again! You were missed terribly! I would check in and wonder about you!

I found your blog last year this time while preparing for my third year teaching kindergarten. I used your problem-solving notebook idea and others. I LOVE what you wrote and could tell you are an amazing teacher. I checked back often for new posts but always knew that the school year got the best of you...like it always does. Last academic year, I too, got very burnt out and decided to take some time away from teaching. I relate to you immensely and feel blessed to know that we have teachers like you that keep on going and fighting for our children today. Good luck this year.My flame is already growing, and I will continue to check back for updates. I am already excited about getting back into the classroom one day. Thank you for your blog!

Melissa

I am so your glad I missed seeing all your neat ideas you had especially the math journals. When I was reading about why you hadn't been on I was thinking that is exactly how it is with me every week. It's nice to know other people go through the samething.

Shifra

Yay!! I'm so happy you're back!! I, too, found you last summer right before my first year teaching and you were a huge help to get me started and on my feet. I can't wait to see what's in store, all the best to you!

Kathleen Pedersen

So glad you are back! I have missed your wonderful updates. I know what you mean about the burnout. With all the things happening in education right now we just have to remember why we do this. It's for the kids that show up with a smile everyday! I am starting my 27th year in the next couple of weeks, so I really know how it can get to you once in a while! Welcome back!

It is so good to hear there are other teachers who feel the way you do sometimes. Your blog is amazing!! PLEASE...continue to share your wealth of knowledge!

Dora

I am glad that you have found the spirit to continue doing what you love. Sometimes we have to focus on what we love about this mission that is so important and assign the "chores" - assessment, paperwork, etc. appointments in our day. This may make it easier to stay inspired and not burnt out. You inspire me in what you do and how generous you are with all of us. Stay inspired. You are important to those children. That is our mission.

Natalie Driskill

I am so glad you are back!! I have followed your blog pretty much since the beginning and my team has implemented so many of your FANTASTIC math ideas in our kinder classrooms. It's wonderful to hear that your spark is still there! You might not know it, but you have inspired so many of us "kinder" teachers. And we ALL know what being burnt out feels like. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas for us to use to also make a difference in the lives we touch everyday!!
